TransferNow

TransferNow is a French file transfer service online since 2013. It is operated by Highsense SAS, registered in Garches near Paris. The company reports more than 78 million unique users per year and over 15,000 business customers (own figures).

Features

• Free plan: up to 5 GB per transfer without sign-up, retention up to 7 days, encryption and antivirus scanning on all plans.
• Premium plan: up to 250 GB per transfer, 1 TB of storage, retention up to 365 days, custom branding and a 7-day free trial.
• Team plan: 10 users, up to 500 GB per transfer. Enterprise adds single sign-on and a choice of storage region.
• Desktop apps for Windows, macOS and Linux, mobile apps, extensions for Gmail, Outlook, Firefox and Thunderbird, plus an API.

Hosting and limits

TransferNow presents itself as a French and sovereign solution. Its privacy notice lists Scaleway and OVH, both French, for file storage, but also DigitalOcean and Cloudflare from the US, and Google Cloud and Amazon Web Services for the application. Choosing a storage region is reserved for Enterprise customers. The free plan is capped at 5 GB, so very large files need a paid plan or a service like SwissTransfer.
