UptimeRobot

UptimeRobot is an uptime monitoring service operated by UptimeRobot s. r. o. in Bratislava, Slovakia. The service has belonged to the Czech/Slovak company itrinity since 2019. It checks websites, APIs and servers at set intervals and sends an alert when something stops responding. According to the company, more than 3 million people use it.

Features

• Monitor types: HTTP(s) and keyword, ping, port, heartbeat (cron job), API, SSL, domain and DNS monitoring, plus response time tracking and multi-location checks.
• Alerts by email, SMS, voice call and push notification, plus integrations such as Slack.
• Public status pages, one of them on the free plan.
• A free plan with 50 monitors and 5-minute checks. Paid plans add shorter intervals, more monitors and more status pages.

Limits

SMS and voice alerts run on separately bought credits. The free plan checks only every five minutes, so short outages can slip through. A European registered office does not say where individual check servers run, so ask for the data processing agreement if that matters.
