Submit SuggestionZapier is a US platform for business process automation and application integration. It began as a side project in 2011, launched as a company in 2012 and operates fully remote with its headquarters in San Francisco. Teams use it to pass data between apps and to trigger actions without code.
The workflow automation tools on this page come from Europe. Make from Prague and n8n from Berlin are the closest in daily use: both build multi-step automations on a visual canvas. n8n can also be self-hosted, which is the usual reason for switching when data protection or internal data is a concern. Tines from Dublin targets security and IT teams, and Camunda from Berlin orchestrates long-running business processes for developers.
Automations cannot be imported directly, so existing Zaps have to be rebuilt. Check that the apps you rely on have a connector or can be reached through an HTTP module or webhook. The largest US platform advertises a bigger catalogue than any European tool, while the European tools usually give more control over hosting and licensing.
