Submit SuggestionPrint-on-demand services print and ship a product only after a customer has ordered it, so sellers need no stock. Designers, creators and small shops use them for T-shirts, posters, mugs and similar items. This page lists providers headquartered in Europe: Gelato from Oslo, Spreadshirt from Leipzig, Prodigi from the United Kingdom and Teemill from the Isle of Wight.
| Provider | Country | Model | Production |

| Spreadshirt | Germany | Free shops (Spreadshop) and marketplace | Own sites in Europe and the US |
| Prodigi | United Kingdom | Dropshipping platform and print API | Own facilities plus 50+ suppliers |

Gelato and Prodigi work as backends: a seller connects an existing shop, for example on Shopify or Etsy, and orders are produced by a network of printers close to the customer. Prodigi also names WooCommerce, Squarespace, Wix and BigCommerce among its integrations and offers a print API. Spreadshirt is the all-in-one option: sellers open a free Spreadshop and the company handles production, shipping and customer service. Teemill is the choice for sellers who want a sustainable clothing brand, since its products are organic cotton and designed to be returned and remade.
Print-on-demand providers do not charge a monthly fee for the basic service, but the sale price has to cover the base cost of the product and shipping, so the margin per item depends on that base price. Quality and delivery times depend on the production site that handles each order, so ordering samples is sensible. Some of the best-known providers are not listed because they are US companies: Printful, Inc. is a Delaware corporation based in Charlotte, North Carolina, and Printify, Inc. is registered in the US according to its legal imprint, even though its EU representative is a company in Riga.
