Arcam

Arcam is a British hi-fi brand from Cambridge. Two friends who met as engineering students at Cambridge University founded it in 1976 as Amplification and Recording Cambridge (A&R Cambridge), and its first product, the A60 amplifier, sold more than 30,000 units. The company is based at Waterbeach near Cambridge.

Range

• The Radia series from 2023 includes the A5, A15 and A25 integrated amplifiers, the CD5 CD player and the ST5 high-resolution streamer.
• Radia loudspeakers and AV products complete the line.
• For its 50th anniversary in 2026 Arcam announced the A50 Signature amplifier and the CD25 player.
• Arcam is also known for AV receivers and home cinema electronics.

Ownership

Arcam belongs to the HARMAN Luxury Audio Group, a division of HARMAN International, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Samsung Electronics. HARMAN Luxury Audio is headquartered in Northridge, California, which is why Arcam carries the non-European parent flag. Arcam itself is still based in Cambridgeshire.
