Website

Curaprox is the oral care brand of Curaden AG, a Swiss family company based in Kriens near Lucerne. Hans Breitschmid started the business in 1954 as a dental supplier, and the family still owns it. The brand name comes from Latin: cura for care and prox for close. The company reports around 300 employees in Switzerland and a further 800 worldwide, as of mid-2025.

Features

  • The CS 5460 toothbrush with very fine bristles, which the company says has sold more than 300 million units
  • Manual, electric and children's toothbrushes plus brushes for specific needs such as gums
  • Interdental brushes of the Prime series, developed in 1997 together with the dentist Jiří Sedelmayer
  • Mouthwashes such as Perio plus zero and further care products

Good to know

Curaprox toothbrushes are known for their very soft, dense bristles, which suit some users better than others. Dentists and dental hygienists are a core audience, so the range is wider than what many supermarkets stock.
