e-conomic is a cloud accounting program from Copenhagen. The company was founded in 2001, was bought by the private equity firm HgCapital in 2013 and has belonged to the Norwegian software group Visma since 2015. e-conomic describes itself as the most used online accounting program in Denmark and states that it has around 250,000 customers. Its parent Visma is headquartered in Oslo.

  • Paid add-ons for budgets and forecasts and for inventory management, and payroll for clients.

Limits

The product is built around Danish banks, CVR and EAN numbers and Danish accounting practice, so it mainly serves businesses and accountants in Denmark. Some extras cost additional fees on top of the base plan.
