Exact

Exact is a Dutch business software company headquartered in Delft and founded in 1984. It was listed on Euronext Amsterdam until 2015, was then taken over by investors led by Apax, and in 2019 by the US investor KKR. Silver Lake joined in 2021 as a minority investor, with KKR remaining the majority shareholder. Exact states that more than 675,000 businesses and accountants use its software.

Exact is strongest in the Benelux region, which Silver Lake names as its core market. The wider ERP range is more complex than simple invoicing tools for freelancers.
