Fronius

Fronius International is an Austrian family company from Pettenbach in Upper Austria. Günter Fronius founded it on 20 June 1945 as a repair business, and the third generation of the family leads it today. Fronius works in three fields: welding technology, photovoltaics and battery charging technology. The company has around 6,500 employees in 37 subsidiaries.

Good to know

Fronius states that it holds 1,834 patents across the whole company. The solar business is one division within a larger group, so the company is also known beyond the energy sector. Inverters are installed by qualified installers who also size the system for the building.
