Victron Energy

Victron Energy is a Dutch manufacturer of power electronics from Almere. According to its own brochures it has been developing power solutions since 1975. Victron is especially known for off-grid and mobile systems in campervans, boats and cabins, and for hybrid systems with a battery at home.

Features

• Inverter/chargers such as the MultiPlus and Quattro that combine inverter, charger and a transfer switch
• SmartSolar MPPT charge controllers for solar panels
• Cerbo GX communication center, VictronConnect app and the VRM remote monitoring portal
• Battery monitors, DC-DC converters, batteries and an EV charging station

Good to know

Victron lists a five-year warranty on its power electronics in its brochures and says its dealer network has around 1,000 distributors, installers and service partners. The range focuses on battery-based systems, and grid-tied string inverters for large rooftop systems are not its core business. For a classic grid-tied roof system, SMA, Fronius, KOSTAL or Ingeteam are the closer matches.
