KOSTAL Solar Electric

KOSTAL Solar Electric GmbH is a German manufacturer of solar inverters with its headquarters in Freiburg im Breisgau. It was founded in 2006 and is part of the KOSTAL Group, a family business from Lüdenscheid that has existed since 1912. KOSTAL Solar Electric specialized in photovoltaics from the start.

Features

• Inverters of the PLENTICORE series (hybrid) and the PIKO series for private and commercial solar systems
• High-voltage battery storage that matches the PLENTICORE inverters
• Wallbox and a complete system of inverter, wallbox and battery from one supplier
• KOSTAL states that its inverters are made in Germany

Good to know

KOSTAL's strengths are home and small commercial systems with a battery. Because the wallbox, the battery and the inverter are coordinated, the setup is simpler for homeowners who plan to charge an electric car with solar power. As with other brands, installers choose the model and size the system.
