G-Star RAW

G-Star RAW is a Dutch denim brand founded in 1989 in Amsterdam by Jos van Tilburg and still headquartered there. It built its name on raw denim, meaning unwashed and untreated jeans, and on three-dimensional cuts. In 2023 the US brand management company WHP Global announced that it would take a majority stake; founder Jos van Tilburg and other existing shareholders keep a holding, and the management team continues to run the brand from Amsterdam.
