Lucca

Website

Lucca is a French software publisher based in Paris, founded in 2002 by Gilles Satgé and financed from its own revenues for its first 20 years. In 2022 it raised 65 million euros from the investor One Peak, its first institutional shareholder, to expand to Spain and Switzerland. At that time it reported more than 5,000 customers and over one million end users.

Features

  • A suite of separate apps that can be combined into an HR information system, covering time and activity management, expense reports, personnel administration, annual reviews and well-being at work.
  • Employee-facing tools that automate internal processes such as leave, benefits and business expenses.
  • A focus on small and mid-sized companies, with France as its core market.

Limits

Lucca's strength is the French market, and its international coverage was still being built after the 2022 funding round. Buyers pick the individual apps they need, because the suite is modular rather than a single package.
