Rosenthal

Rosenthal is a German porcelain brand from Selb in Bavaria. Philipp Rosenthal founded the original business in 1879 and moved it to Selb. Since August 2009 Rosenthal has been part of the Arcturus Group, which belongs to the Italian company Sambonet Paderno Industrie, and the company headquarters have remained in Selb.

Good to know

The brand became known in the second half of the twentieth century for working with designers and artists, an approach started by the founder's son. Rosenthal also includes the Thomas brand for modern everyday porcelain. Prices are in the premium segment. The group is Italian-owned, which is still European ownership and does not count as a non-European parent.
