SIGG Logo

SIGG is a Swiss maker of drinking bottles based in Frauenfeld. Ferdinand Sigg started the business in Biel in 1908 as an aluminium goods factory, and it moved to Frauenfeld in 1917. Today SIGG is best known for aluminium bottles, which are still manufactured at the Frauenfeld headquarters, as well as thermos flasks, lunchboxes, children's bottles and travel mugs.

Features

  • Aluminium bottles that SIGG says are made from 100 % recycled aluminium in its own Swiss factory.
  • Further bottles made of 18/8 stainless steel, polypropylene and Tritan.
  • Insulated bottles, coffee mugs and lunchboxes, plus spare parts, accessories and personalisation.
  • In 2024 the company announced a multi-million investment in a new production facility in Switzerland.

Ownership

In February 2016 SIGG was acquired by HAERS, a Chinese manufacturer of stainless steel vacuum bottles. For that reason the listing carries the non-European parent flag. The brand, the headquarters and the aluminium production remain in Switzerland.
