Submit SuggestionDrinks made from oats, soy and almonds have moved from health food shops to supermarket shelves across Europe. This page lists five plant-based drink brands with a European headquarters: Alpro from Belgium, Oatly from Sweden, Joya from Austria, Rude Health from the United Kingdom and Valsoia from Italy. The seat of the company counts, not the place where the oats grow.
Alpro has belonged to Danone since 2017. Oatly is listed on Nasdaq with a Swedish head office, and its largest holder, Nativus Company Limited, has 44.6 percent, so there is no majority owner. Joya has been owned by the US group Hain Celestial since 2015 and carries the non-European parent flag, although Hain agreed in September 2026 to sell its international business to the German firm Aurelius. Rude Health was bought in 2024 by the Finnish company Oddlygood, and Valsoia has been listed in Milan since 2006.

Alpro started with soy and now covers many bases, Oatly built its business on oats, and Joya says its soy beans and oats come only from Europe. Rude Health pairs its dairy-free drinks with breakfast foods, and Valsoia offers plant-based alternatives from drinks to ice cream. The product pages describe each range in the company's own terms.
Supermarket own-label drinks and the large US oat and almond brands are outside this list, as are smaller start-ups without a track record. The Alpro sister brand Provamel is not listed separately. Plant-based drinks are not the same as dairy milk in nutrition, and the product pages only describe what each company states about its own range.
