hagebau
Websitehagebau is a German purchasing and marketing cooperation for the building materials, timber and DIY trade. Unlike most entries in this category it is not a single company: 34 specialist dealers founded it in 1964, and its partners run the actual stores.
Range
- Building materials, timber, tiles, windows, doors and gates for trade customers through the hagebau specialist trade
- Retail through partner stores, with central purchasing advantages and services from the head office
Where to find it
The head office is in Soltau (Lower Saxony), with a second site in Brunn am Gebirge in Austria. According to the cooperation, about 350 legally independent partners in the specialist trade and retail belong to it, and more than 1,500 locations in Europe are connected to the group (company website, 2026). The hagebau specialist trade alone counts 165 locations.
Ownership
The partners own the cooperation, so no outside investor and no non-European parent is involved.
