NIVONA

NIVONA is a German coffee machine maker established in Nuremberg in 2005. The company focuses on fully automatic coffee machines for preparing espresso and other coffee drinks at home, with its CafeRomatica models forming the core of the range.

Automatic coffee machines

NIVONA machines grind whole beans, brew coffee and handle drink preparation through an integrated system. Depending on model, users can prepare espresso, coffee, milk-based drinks and hot water. The controls offer settings for adjusting strength, quantity and temperature to suit different beans and preferences.

Aroma Balance System

Introduced in 2016, NIVONA's Aroma Balance System provides different extraction profiles for the same coffee beans. The company explains that these profiles alter the way water passes through the ground coffee, allowing users to explore variations in aroma and flavor through the machine's settings.

Maintenance and practical features

The machines have removable brewing units on many models, so users can rinse the component directly. Automatic cleaning and descaling programmes help with routine maintenance. Other features vary by model and can include a conical grinder, two-cup preparation and a milk system for cappuccino or similar drinks.

Product range and support

NIVONA emphasizes specialist retailers, repair support and its own service organization. Buyers can compare models according to the number of drinks they make, counter space and preferred coffee recipes.

Based in Nuremberg

NIVONA Apparate GmbH remains based in Nuremberg, where the brand was founded. The company says it had produced one million machines by 2023 and sells in more than 30 countries.
