Nolan

Nolan is an Italian motorcycle helmet maker based in Brembate di Sopra near Bergamo. Lander Nocchi founded it in 1972, convinced that helmets could be better than the heavy and inconsistent ones of the early 1970s. Nolan has produced helmets in Brembate di Sopra since 1972, and more than 400,000 helmets reach riders in over 70 countries.

Features

• Helmets under the brands Nolan, Grex and X-lite, plus the N-Com communication systems.
• A continuous process in one place: development, production, assembly and testing happen at the same site.
• EPS shells with different densities in specific zones, so that protection varies where it is needed most.
• Full-face, modular, open-face and adventure models, with visors, cheek pads and other spare parts available.

Range and limits

Nolan makes helmets and communication systems only, and groups three helmet brands under one roof. No ownership by a non-European group is known.
