Schuberth

Website

Schuberth is a German helmet maker based in Magdeburg on the Elbe. It has produced protective helmets of many kinds since the 1940s, and from 1954 the first motorcyclists could wear a Schuberth helmet. The company develops and produces in Magdeburg, employs more than 370 people there and exports to 55 countries.

Features

  • Motorcycle helmets, including the C5 and C5 Carbon flip-up helmets, the S3 and S3 Carbon full-face helmets, the E2 and E2 Carbon adventure helmets and the J2 open-face helmet.
  • Communication systems for motorcycle helmets, a Riders Club and an extended 5-year warranty with warranty registration.
  • Helmets for Formula 1 and other motorsport, plus helmets for firefighters, work safety, police and the military.
  • An in-house wind tunnel, a climate test bench and an acoustics lab, used to test and improve helmets.

Ownership and limits

In 2013 the investor Perusa from Munich acquired the majority of the Schuberth Group. Schuberth also makes helmets for work safety, police and the military, so motorcycle helmets are only part of its business. No non-European parent was found.
