Pharmacy2U

Pharmacy2U is a British online pharmacy that manages NHS repeat prescriptions for patients. Pharmacist Daniel Lee founded it in November 1999, and it opened to the public in June 2000. It describes itself as the UK's first online pharmacy and has been a partner of the NHS since 2001. Its base is Thorpe Park in Leeds, and it also operates in Leicestershire and London.

Size and services

According to its investor, G Square, the company serves more than two million patients and dispenses more than 3.5 million items a month (July 2026). Besides NHS prescription services, it offers private online doctor consultations and consumer and pet health products through its website and app.

Ownership

G Square Healthcare Private Equity, a London-based firm, acquired a majority stake in March 2018. In July 2026 G Square moved the company into a 500 million pound single-asset continuation fund led by Coller Capital, which is also headquartered in London. G Square Capital IV and re-investing shareholders took part as well. No non-European holder controls the company.
