Good to know

The oil crisis of 1973 and 1974 raised the price of plastic six-fold, and the company wanted a toy that uses less plastic than earlier toys. The result was the small figure that became the centre of a role-play system. The group has a factory on Malta, which opened in 1971. The 40 or so play themes are sold in around 100 countries, according to the group's anniversary information for 2024.
