PrestaShop

PrestaShop is open-source e-commerce software from Paris, France, available since 2007. According to the company, more than 230,000 stores run on it worldwide and generate 22 billion euros in gross merchandise value. Since February 2026 PrestaShop has belonged to the Polish technology group cyber_Folks, together with the shop framework Sylius.

Costs and limits

The software itself is free, but hosting, themes, paid modules and maintenance are the merchant's own cost. PrestaShop does not bundle hosting like a subscription shop builder, so it suits sellers who have a developer, an agency or enough technical skill. Its sales and partner teams cover France, Spain, Italy and Poland.
