Sylius

Sylius is an open-source headless e-commerce framework from Poland, developed by Sylius sp. z o.o. in Łódź. The project started in the early 2010s, and the company says the sylius/sylius package has been installed more than one million times. The Polish agency BitBag became the majority shareholder in 2023. Since 2026 Sylius has been part of the cyber_Folks group, together with PrestaShop.

Features

• Framework approach: shops are assembled by developers from components instead of configured from a template

Limits

Sylius is aimed at development teams. A shop cannot be switched on in an afternoon without programming skills, because it is a framework and not a ready-made shop builder. Merchants without developers should look at Shopware or PrestaShop first.
