Printemps
WebsitePrintemps is a Paris department store group with its main store on Boulevard Haussmann. It is one of the best known French department store names alongside Galeries Lafayette, and it has also opened a large store outside Europe: Printemps Doha in Qatar, spread over three floors and about 40,000 square metres.
Range
- International and local fashion, accessories, beauty and home decoration in the stores
- Restaurants and cafés inside the Doha store, some of them international brands
Ownership
In 2013 the Italian Borletti Group, which held 30 percent, and the funds of Deutsche Bank's RREEF, which held 70 percent, sold Printemps to Qatari investors. They acquired 100 percent of the capital through the vehicle Divine Investments SA ("Disa"), and a French court cleared the sale. Reuters, Les Echos and Challenges describe the Qatari investors as sole owners. The stores in France are run by French management, but because the capital is held outside Europe, Printemps carries the non-European parent flag. Galeries Lafayette is the French department store group with a European owner.
