Blocket

Blocket is Sweden's best-known online marketplace. Schibsted acquired it in 2003, and today it belongs to Vend, the Nordic marketplace group formerly called Schibsted Marketplaces. Vend states that more than five million buyers and sellers use Blocket every week.

Ownership and limits

Vend Marketplaces ASA is headquartered in Oslo and listed on the Oslo stock exchange, and the Norwegian Tinius Trust is its main shareholder. Blocket is not part of Adevinta. The site serves Sweden only and is in Swedish. Vend's other brands are FINN in Norway, Tori in Finland and DBA and Bilbasen in Denmark, so classifieds in several Nordic countries share one owner.
