Costa Coffee

Website

Costa Coffee is a British coffee shop chain. The Italian brothers Bruno and Sergio Costa founded it in London in 1971. According to The Coca-Cola Company, Costa is one of the UK's leading coffee chains and a major global player. Its head office is in Loudwater, Buckinghamshire.

Range

Costa is known for handcrafted coffee made with its Mocha Italia blend and barista-style drinks served in its shops, as well as at-home and on-the-go options.

Where to find it

When The Coca-Cola Company completed its acquisition of Costa from Whitbread in January 2019, it said that Costa had operations in more than 30 countries. Costa describes itself as the largest and fastest growing coffee shop chain in the UK. A current worldwide store count is not given on Costa's site.

Ownership

In 2019 Costa became part of The Coca-Cola Company, which has its seat in Atlanta in the United States. Because the owner is based outside Europe, Costa is marked as having a non-European parent.
