Flying Tiger Copenhagen

Flying Tiger Copenhagen is a Danish variety store chain for gifts, decoration and creative everyday items. The roots lie in a flea market stall where founder Lennart Lajboschitz and his wife Suz sold umbrellas. They opened the first shop, Zebra, in 1988, and the first store called Tiger in Copenhagen in 1995, where everything cost 10 Danish kroner.

Ownership

Ownership has changed several times. The Danish investor Treville took over from the founder and EQT in 2021 (company announcement). Press reports in 2026 name the British investor Modella Capital as the new owner, which would not change the European status.
