Maisons du Monde

Maisons du Monde is a French furniture and home decoration retailer from Vertou near Nantes. For nearly 30 years it has sold furniture and decoration in many styles, from classic to contemporary and to the feel of far-flung places. The company calls itself the European key player in inspiring, accessible and sustainable interior design.

Range

• Furniture, lighting, textiles, tableware and decoration in styles built around atmospheres, for example chairs such as the Louis and Mauricette models
• Stores, a web shop and a marketplace, the "Second Chance" range of imperfect products (since 2023) and the 3D house planning service Rhinov

Where to find it

The brand has about 7 million customers according to its corporate website, and in 2017 it already operated 313 stores in seven countries, including France, Italy, Spain, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland and Luxembourg.

Ownership

The company is listed in Paris. The largest shareholders in December 2025 were the Swiss fund Teleios Capital Partners (28.8 percent), Majorelle Investments of the French Naouri family (26.5 percent) and Holgespar of Luxembourg (5.1 percent). The company postponed the publication of its 2025 annual results, so the situation is worth watching.
