GLS

GLS Group is an international parcel network headquartered in Amsterdam under the legal name General Logistics Systems B.V. According to the company, it reaches around 45 countries through its own subsidiaries and network partners, including 40 European countries as well as parts of North America. GLS describes itself as one of the largest self-reliant parcel service providers in Europe.

Ownership and limits

GLS is part of International Distribution Services, the former owner of Royal Mail. In 2025 the Czech EP Group of Daniel Křetínský took over IDS, and the shares were delisted. GLS therefore has a Czech owner and no non-European parent. Consumers meet GLS mostly as the carrier of an online shop, and the delivery experience varies by country.
