Hermes Germany

Hermes Germany is a parcel carrier with its head office in Hamburg. The company is one of the leading logistics service providers in Germany and part of the Hermes Group of the Otto Group. According to the Otto Group it runs 13 logistics centres and, together with partners, a nationwide network of locations where parcels are dropped off and collected. Many online shops offer Hermes as a delivery option.

Ownership and limits

The Otto Group from Hamburg agreed in November 2025 to buy back the minority stake held by the US investor Advent International, which had joined in 2020. Hermes Germany is therefore fully European. The British Evri, formerly Hermes UK, is a separate company with a different owner and has its own entry on this site.
