Matas

Matas is a Danish health and beauty retailer founded in 1949 with its head office in Allerød. It is the main brand of Matas Group, which also owns the Swedish chain KICKS, acquired in June 2023 for 698 million Danish kroner. Matas Group is listed on Nasdaq Copenhagen.

Range

Matas sells beauty, skin and hair care, perfume, and health and wellness products. The group describes its aim as uniting the leading beauty and wellbeing brands of the Nordics and beyond.

Where to find it

According to Matas Group's annual report for 2025/26, the group had 500 stores at 31 March 2026, in Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland. Of these, 264 were physical Matas stores, 263 of them in Denmark, compared with 267 a year earlier.
