Website

ROSSMANN is a German drugstore chain based in Burgwedel near Hanover. Dirk Roßmann opened the first self-service drugstore in Germany in 1972. According to the company's website (2026), the Dirk Rossmann GmbH has 56,300 employees and 4,244 stores and counts among the largest drugstore chains in Europe, with more than 2,300 stores in Germany alone.

Range

As a drugstore, ROSSMANN sells care and beauty products, household and cleaning items, baby goods and health and food products. More than two million customers shop in the German stores every day, the company says. ROSSMANN describes the continuing development of its store network and the link between its online and offline business as core tasks.

Where to find it

Besides Germany, ROSSMANN has stores in other European countries, and the figure of 4,244 stores covers the whole company. Its logistics run through eleven warehouse sites, with the central site in Landsberg.

Ownership

ROSSMANN is mostly owned by the Roßmann family. The Hong Kong based A.S. Watson Group holds 40 percent, according to the company. This is below the majority threshold, so ROSSMANN is not flagged as having a non-European parent.
