Müller

Website

Müller is a German retail chain from Ulm that combines a drugstore with perfumery, toys, stationery, multimedia and household goods. The hairdresser Erwin Müller founded the company in Ulm in 1953, and he remains its owner. The company states that it has about 34,000 employees and a range of 185,000 articles.

Range

Müller advertises the largest drugstore range in Germany and adds perfumery, a natural-products shop, stationery, toys, multimedia, household and decorative items, as well as hosiery and handicrafts. In practice a Müller store is a department-style shop rather than a classic drugstore.

Where to find it

According to Müller's website, the company runs about 900 stores in Europe: in Germany, and in Austria (109 stores), Switzerland (103), Croatia (94), Hungary (34), Slovenia (27), Spain (19) and Slovakia (3), plus Liechtenstein. The company is registered in Vaduz in Liechtenstein; management and headquarters are in Ulm.

Online shopping

Müller also operates an online shop under mueller.de, which it presents as "more than a drugstore online".

Ownership

Erwin Müller owns the company. Press reports on an inheritance dispute describe him as the owner of the drugstore group.
