Rains

Rains is a Danish outerwear and lifestyle brand based in Aarhus. It was established in 2012 and grew out of a modern reinterpretation of the classic rubber raincoat. According to its 2023 annual report the company employed 157 full-time staff on average and had revenue of DKK 628 million. The parent company is the Danish Hesselager Holding ApS.

Features

• Rain jackets, winter, light, shell and bomber jackets, rain trousers, plus sweatshirts, knitwear, fleece and polo shirts.
• Bags, laptop sleeves, toiletry bags, hats, gloves, socks and footwear.
• A fully vertical supply chain with specialised factories, own sales subsidiaries, regional distribution centres, retail and e-commerce, as described in the annual report.
• Own sales companies in the USA, China, Norway, the United Kingdom, Germany, Sweden and Canada.

Range and limits

Rains aims at urban, streetwear-inspired rain clothing. It is a good fit for commuting and city weather, but it is not a specialist for technical mountain or expedition use.
