Arcaplanet

Arcaplanet is an Italian pet store chain with its head office in Carasco near Genoa. It describes itself as number one in Italy with more than 620 stores (company magazine, 2026) and has existed for about 30 years. Its slogan is "Pets People Planet".

Range

• Food, accessories and care products for dogs, cats, small animals and birds
• Stores plus an online shop, with regular collections of pet food for animal welfare associations through its Foodstock programme

Where to find it

All stores are in Italy. In 2022 the private equity firm Cinven bought a majority stake and combined Arcaplanet with Maxi Zoo Italia, the former Italian arm of Fressnapf. At that time Arcaplanet had around 400 stores. In 2024 Fressnapf took full control of the combined group.

Ownership

Arcaplanet now belongs to the German Fressnapf Group, which is led by founder Torsten Toeller. Cinven, a British investor, holds a minority stake in Fressnapf. Everything stays within Europe, so there is no non-European parent.
