Iskaypet (Kiwoko, Tiendanimal)

Grupo Iskaypet is the largest specialist pet chain on the Iberian peninsula. It combines the Spanish brands Kiwoko and Tiendanimal. The name comes from the Quechua word "iskay", which means "union of two". Kiwoko Pet, S.L.U., the company behind the Kiwoko shops, is registered in Alcorcón near Madrid.

• Food, accessories and care products for dogs, cats, small animals and other pets, in stores and online
• Services such as grooming salons ("Mundo Belleza", "Salón de Belleza") and veterinary centres under the names Kivet and Clinicanimal

Where to find it

The group trades in Spain and, since the purchase of the chain Ornimundo in March 2022 (32 stores, 20 grooming salons and 3 clinics), also in Portugal.

Ownership

Iskaypet exists since EMEFIN, a Peruvian family business group with more than 80 years of retail experience, bought Kiwoko and then Tiendanimal (2019 and 2020). A Spanish company is therefore controlled from outside Europe, and the page carries the non-European parent flag. The exact share is not published, but the group describes the deal as a purchase of both ecosystems.
