Devos & Lemmens

Website

Devos & Lemmens is a Belgian sauce brand for meals at home and professional kitchens. Its offices and production site are in Puurs-Sint-Amands. The story began with Belgian Pickles, a recipe by Mrs Lemmens sold in the family butcher shop in Antwerp.

From pickles to sauces

The brand dates its start to 1886, when Henri Devos planned a cannery to pack the popular pickles in jars. The family sold the butcher shop in 1906 to focus on the factory. Mustard followed, then mayonnaise production in 1920.

A broad sauce range

The assortment includes mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, Belgian Pickles, barbecue sauces and other table sauces. It combines established recipes with newer flavors for people who want to serve different accompaniments with everyday food.

Production in Puurs

In 1966 the brand joined Imperial and vinegar maker De Blauwe Hand. The group established production and offices in Puurs, where D&L says its teams and chefs still work. The Belgian address and company number appear on its website.

Home and food service

D&L maintains consumer and professional sections. Its website helps households browse products and recipes, while a directory helps customers find participating fry shops. The brand therefore serves both home meals and food-service counters.

Recipes and quality

The company describes quality procedures and food safety as part of its work. Its recipes show sauces alongside familiar dishes, and its product pages let shoppers and kitchen operators review the range before buying.
