FL Studio (Image-Line)

FL Studio is the digital audio workstation (DAW) of Image-Line, a Belgian software company founded in 1994 with its headquarters in Ghent. It runs on Windows and macOS and comes with more than 100 instruments, effects, tools and sounds.

Features

• Instruments, effects and sounds are included in the program, and higher editions add further plug-ins.
• Lifetime Free Updates: buyers receive all updates and new features for their edition at no extra cost, for life.
• Four editions are offered: Fruity, Producer, Signature and All Plugins.
• A free trial can be downloaded, and a rent-to-own plan turns monthly payments into a permanent license after 12 payments.
• FL Cloud adds online sounds and tools on top of the DAW.

Who uses it

FL Studio is a common starting point for beat-making and electronic music production. Because updates are free for the life of the license, the one-time purchase price is the main cost to compare between editions.
