Savencia

Savencia (Savencia Fromage & Dairy) is a French cheese and dairy group with its head office in Viroflay near Paris. The company describes itself as an international, family owned and independent group, listed on Euronext Paris. It is built around milk and cocoa and is organised in three businesses: retail, food service and ingredients.

Cheese brands

• Caprice des Dieux: soft cream cheese in the oval box
• Saint Agur: blue cheese
• Saint Albray: washed rind cheese from Aquitaine
• Chavroux: goat cheese
• Coeur de Lion, Tartare and Fol Epi among many other cheese and dairy brands

Beyond cheese, the group owns Elle & Vire (butter and cream) and, on the cocoa side, Valrhona chocolate.

Ownership and scale

Savencia remains a French family controlled company and has no non-European parent. Its brand portfolio is broad and spans many countries, with local brands in Spain, Italy, Eastern Europe and the USA, so the range differs from market to market.
