Ambar
WebsiteAmbar is a Spanish brewery from Zaragoza. The company behind it, La Zaragozana S.A., was founded in 1900 by a group of local friends, and the brewery has kept its headquarters in the Aragonese capital ever since. It belongs to Grupo Ágora, an independent brewing group that is also based in Zaragoza.
Products
- More than 20 beer varieties, including Ambar Especial, Export, 1900 Sin Filtrar, Morena, Radler and IPA.
- The Triple Zero range of alcohol-free beers, with toasted, gluten-free and probiotic versions.
- Ambar Sin, launched in 1976 and often named as Spain's first non-alcoholic beer.
Production
Brewing takes place on the banks of the Ebro. Since 2019 production and bottling run in a newer plant in the La Cartuja area of Zaragoza, while the historic site in the city serves as museum and visitor centre.
The company says it has kept the spirit of a family business while it keeps evolving.
