Deliveroo

Deliveroo is a delivery platform headquartered in London. Will Shu founded it in 2013 after noticing how few good London restaurants delivered, and he worked as the first rider himself. According to its new owner, Deliveroo works with about 176,000 restaurants, grocers and retail partners and more than 130,000 riders in nine countries: Belgium, France, Ireland, Italy and the United Kingdom in Europe, plus Kuwait, Qatar, Singapore and the United Arab Emirates.

Ownership

The US company DoorDash completed the acquisition of Deliveroo on 2 October 2025 for around 2.9 billion pounds. Deliveroo keeps its name and continues to operate as a platform in its markets, but belongs entirely to DoorDash and therefore carries a notice for a non-European parent.
