Lieferando

Lieferando is the German food delivery platform of Just Eat Takeaway.com. It was founded in Berlin in 2009 by Christoph Gerber, Kai Hansen and Jörg Gerbig, taken over by Takeaway.com in 2014 and became part of Just Eat Takeaway after the 2020 merger. The company says it connects around 20 million consumers in Germany with more than 50,000 partners from gastronomy and retail.

Ownership and limits

Lieferando belongs to Just Eat Takeaway.com, which has been owned by Prosus since 2025. Prosus is majority-owned by Naspers of South Africa, so Lieferando carries a notice for a non-European parent. Delivery fees and minimum order values are set per restaurant and city and are not compared here.
