Wolt

Wolt is a delivery platform from Helsinki. Miki Kuusi and five co-founders started it in October 2014, and it grew from Finland into more than 20 countries across Europe, the Caucasus and Central Asia. Couriers bring meals from restaurants as well as groceries, flowers, pharmacy items and other goods from local shops, usually within a short time slot shown in the app.

Ownership

The US company DoorDash completed the acquisition of Wolt on 1 June 2022 in an all-stock deal. Wolt continues under its own name and keeps its Finnish headquarters, but belongs entirely to DoorDash and therefore carries a notice for a non-European parent.
