Just Eat Takeaway.com (JET) is a food delivery marketplace headquartered in Amsterdam. Takeaway.com started in the Netherlands in 2000 under founder Jitse Groen and merged in 2020 with Just Eat, a Danish company founded in 2001. According to the company, it connects consumers with more than 300,000 partners in 14 countries, among them restaurants and, increasingly, grocery and retail stores.

Ownership

In 2025 the Amsterdam-based group Prosus acquired about 98 percent of the shares, and JET was delisted from the stock exchange in November 2025. Prosus is majority-owned by Naspers of South Africa, so JET carries a notice for a non-European parent. Lieferando, the German brand, has its own entry on this site.
