OTOBO

OTOBO is an open source service management platform from Rother OSS GmbH, based in Leiblfing, Germany. It started in 2020 as a fork of the OTRS Community Edition after OTRS AG announced the end of support for that edition in December 2020. OTOBO is licensed under GPL 3, and its maintainers describe it as a web-based, modularly extensible platform for service quality in IT and beyond.

Limits

Like other open source tools, OTOBO has to be run by someone, either an in-house IT team or a service provider. Anyone who wants a vendor-hosted tool without own technical staff should compare the hosting options before choosing it. Zammad, another system with roots in OTRS, is part of this list as well.
